Family Handover Pack is a client-side tool. The questionnaire runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type into it — names, contact details, account information, or anything else — is transmitted to us, stored on our servers, or seen by anyone else. There is no database and no account system. When you close the browser tab, the information is gone unless you've saved the generated document yourself or chosen the optional "Remember my answers on this device" setting described below.
If you tick "Remember my answers on this device", your answers are saved in your own browser's local storage so that you can come back to them later. This includes any health details you enter, such as a child's or relative's medical conditions, allergies or medication. This is off unless you turn it on. The saved answers are never sent to us. They stay on that browser until you delete them with the "Delete saved answers" button, they expire automatically after 30 days, or you clear your browser's site data. Anyone who can use that browser profile could read them, so please don't use this setting on a shared or public computer.
When you purchase a pack, payment is processed by our payment provider, Paddle.com, who act as the seller of record for this transaction. Paddle handles your payment details directly — we never see or store your card information. Paddle's own privacy policy governs the information collected during checkout; see paddle.com/legal/privacy.
We may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how many people visit this site and which pages they view, in order to improve it. This does not include anything you enter into the questionnaire itself. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not identify you. It records the page visited, including the short links on our printed cards and flyers (such as /card), so we can see how people found us.
